“You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (S. Lk 18:22, NIV)
Life is busy isn't it, i mean busy, as a parent you get up get the kids breakfast, make sure their dressed, get yourself dressed, gulp down some coffee, get them off to school, run from school to work, at work your busy all day long, you pick the kids up, go home help them with homework, then fix supper, eat supper, clean up after supper, get the kids in the bath/shower, then try to get them into bed at a decent time, whew, you sit down for a minute, realize it 10 pm, and you need to get to bed because that alarm clock goes off early and the whole routine starts over again.
now your daily schedule may not be exactly the same, but its probably a whirlwind none the less. Well lets go ahead and throw into that schedule, trying to find time to spend with spouse, friends, exercise, and housework. We are busy, busy people.
In the midst of all our daily schedules, the question is, Where do we find time for Jesus? Where do we find time to read devotions, pray, help others? It is definitely difficult, extremely difficult. so keep this thought in mind:
"Material wealth, possessions, and busy schedules can clutter a life, but they can never fill it"
So the thought i propose today is this, "what are you willing to sacrifice to get to know Jesus better?", where in your schedule can you carve out time for your Lord. You will find it is worth every second that you sacrifice to know Him better.
Have a blessed day, Chris
