"Every day is not just a dawn; it is a precious chance to start over or begin anew".
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. (Ge 1:31, NIV)
"Beginnings are important, but what we make of them is even more important. Every morning, you get a gift from God: a new beginning. God hands to you as an expression of divine love a new day full of promise and the chance to right the wrongs in your life. You can use the day to pay a debt, start a new relationship, tell your family you love them, chase a dream, solve a problem..... or not. God simply provides the gift. How you use it is up to you. God gives you the chance with the dawning of every new day. You have the chance today to make things right." - Ed McMinn
I read this in my devotion today, it really spoke to me. Yesterday is gone, I can't do anything about it. So why do we allow the problems of yesterday to affect how we view today. Just because last year, last week, or yesterday was bad, doesn't mean today has to be. A new year, a new month, a new start on the day. Thats what we/I need. We all do.
Never be afraid to say either one of these: "I am sorry" or "I was wrong". Most people are resilient when it comes to forgiveness. The choice is mine/yours, what will we do with "the new day".
