I am the greatest of all time

This was labeled "one of the greatest speeches of all times".  Was Muhammad Ali a great boxer, absolutely.  The greatest of all time, could be.  But what really makes a person, "great", much less the "greatest of all time"?  This blog is not about the debate of the greatest boxer of all time, however it is a closer look at the heart of man, and what we need to determine makes us the greatest.

Here is How Jesus addressed it:

33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, “What were you arguing about on the road?” 34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.
35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.” (Mk 9:33-35, NIV)

If you think your the greatest, bad news your probably not.  Jesus was the greatest that ever lived, and yet yet never proclaimed in front of everyone that He was.  He lived it, He was (in His own words) a servant of all.  The greatest of all are those who choose to put others first and make an eternal difference.

So who are you serving first, and are you making an eternal difference.

Ponder that for a little bit, I know I am.

Chris
